The latest news to come from this year’s IFA event is the launch of a new family of Z3 devices from Sony. As well as the expected news of the flagship Z3, Sony has also treated us to the release of a compact version of the flagship, as well as an accompanying tablet.
At 7.3mm thick, the Xperia Z3 is one of the thinnest phones currently on the market and although it shares the same aesthetic qualities as its predecessors, it’s more rounded this time around and just looks sleeker. It includes a 5.2″ HD display, a decent Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and either 16/32 GB of internal storage. It’ll also be running Android 4.4.4 and include a non-removable 3100mAh battery.
Both the specifications of the Z3 Compact and the Z3 Tablet are the same as the flagship device, with the only major changes being the 4.6″ screen of the Compact and the 8″ offering from the Z3 Tablet.
Sony will be releasing all three devices later this year. No official word of pricing, but we can guess it’s going to be a very expensive end to this month for those interested.
