SwiftKey, the amazing alternative keyboard for Android, has saved its users over 10 billion keystrokes since launching last year, developers TouchType Ltd. said Wednesday.
The app, which re-launched as SwiftKey X in July with added support for tablets, saves its users thousands of keystrokes by using a new kind of text prediction that understands writing habits and predicts your next word.
To celebrate the thumb-saving milestone, TouchType announced that between today and Friday it is giving away three VIZIO™ Android tablets on Twitter. The new devices come embedded with the company’s award-winning SwiftKey Tablet X keyboard.
To enter the draw, SwiftKey users are being asked to tweet how many keystrokes they have saved – a stat available in their app’s settings – along with the hashtag #SKX10bn.
And for Android users yet to try SwiftKey, the company has just launched two new free trial apps, so users can give the award-winning technology a shot and then submit their tweet. One winner will then be randomly chosen and contacted via direct message at the end of each day.
