Will the Asus ZenWatch be the cheapest next gen smartwatch?

The ZenWatch is set to be the most wallet-friendly smartwatch yet.

Asus has been fairly quiet on what we can expect to see in their first attempt at a smartwach. Apart from a couple of teaser trailers of the ZenWatch, most of us still don’t know for sure what we’re going to see.

Asus CEO, Jerry Shen, has however given some details on the pricing of the smartwatch. Mr Shen has said that the ZenWatch will be available for less than $199, which equates to a conversion price of £129 (plus tax) in the UK. If this pricing scheme remains the same, it’ll make the ZenWatch noticeably cheaper than all of the smartwatches scheduled to be unveiled at the upcoming IFA event and even cheaper than several that are currently on the market.

We’ll have more information on the ZenWatch over the next few days.
