Ubuntu on Tablets and Phones image out, renamed Ubuntu Touch

Download the Ubuntu for Phones image now, as well as the Tablet version, and get a sneak peak of the developer build for the upcoming Mobile World Conference

Phone Canonical

As promised by Canoncial the images for Ubuntu for Phones and Ubuntu on Tablets have been released. Recommended for testing on the Galaxy Nexus as well as Nexus 4, 7 and 10, the mobile OS has received a new moniker – Ubuntu Touch. This applies for both the phone and tablet version.

Canonical has instructions on how you can start flashing and installing the image, which involves new tools that they have created themselves and can be installed from a new “phablet” repo. The method also allows you to easily restore Android if you wish to.

Grab the images and instructions now from the Ubuntu Touch wiki.
