Make sure you know exactly which track is which by naming and adding an image to each
As a GarageBand project progresses things tend to get a little confusing, with more instruments and vocal parts added to the mix. Fortunately there’s an easy way to make sure you never mistake one track for another or remove the wrong instrument. By using the track naming feature as well as adding a unique image, you can quickly scan down your list of tracks and find the exact part you are looking for. In this tutorial we’ll show you how to do just that; to name one of your tracks and give it its own memorable badge. Now you’ll be able quickly find the exact section of the project you require.
1: Double-click
Double-click on the name of a track, which will likely be something generic like Male Vocals, and give it a name you will remember by typing it into the box that appears.
2: Pick a pic
By double-clicking on the track you will bring up its information window, from which you can select a new image. Do this by clicking its existing image on the right of the interface and choosing a new one.
