The Chromecast Audio Can Turn Any Speaker Into a Wi-Fi Enabled Smart Device

The concept of adding smart functionality to an ageing speaker may seem like a far- fetched idea, but it’s entirely plausible using the Chromecast Audio.

Built and designed in familiar Chromecast style, the CA plugs into any open optical, RCA or 3.5mm jack on the rear of a speaker and provides instant Wi-Fi connection. Then through the Chromecast app, users are able to cast any number of songs and tracks across to the newly upgraded speaker via Wi-Fi, without any need to connect any additional wires.

Did we mention that the Chromecast Audio is only £30/$35? Seriously, you need to get one of these now.

How It Works

01.) Power it up

CA step1

Connect the microUSB end of the accompanying power supply into the rear port of the Chromecast Audio.

02.) Connect to the speaker

CA step2

Now use the 3.5mm cable to connect both the CA and any speaker together, before opening the official Chromecast app.

03.) Get the party started

CA step3

Follow the set up instructions through the app and once done, open your music app of choice and start casting some tunes.
