The war going on between Apple and Adobe takes a new twist today as Steve Jobs posts his thoughts on the Apple website.

The two companies have been bickering over whether or not Apple is right to ignore flash and encourage the uptake of newer open technologies.

Its very, very hard to argue with what Steve has written in his post and we can’t imagine that Adobe will have a reply that could even come close to addressing the number of issues that are raised. Steve systematically takes down Adobe’s arguments firstly pointing out that Flash is not Open, then declaring that Adobe’s claim that the iPhone doesn’t have access to the ‘full web’ is untrue. He then moves on to talk about reliability, security and performance. After that he writes about battery life and

how flash isn’t built for touch devices and then he comes to what he calls ‘the most important reason’. Its here that we get an insight into the passion at Apple for being at the cutting edge and why the adoption of Flash would hinder that.

Its a great argument and has summed the issue up for us. It wont be long before the rest of the web catches up with Apple…
