Spotify Connect arrives on Android

Spotify Connect makes it easy to control your speakers using your smartphone.

After its successful launch on iOS, Spotify Connect has finally been confirmed for Android devices. For those unaware of Spotify Connect, it provides users with an easy way to control the music playing on Connect-compatible speakers with their phone.

Although the current crop of Connect-compatible speakers is fairly small, with Spotify’s official partners in Pioneer and Bang and Olufsen currently providing the only compatible speakers, it does pave the way for more manufacturers to get onboard.

Users of the Spotify app can expect an update to the app, featuring all the new Connect features, momentarily.
