Now available for free in the Android market, SPB TV is the perfect illustration of how a mobile TV app ought to be implemented, even if the range of content it supports is very limited.
The design of the app is very impressive, with a fluid UI that enables you to easily scroll through the list of available channels and see what’s on.
When you start watching one it will play, over 3G or Wi-Fi, in high quality (depending on the source) and also enabling you to browse through the rest of the channels using an innovative picture-in-picture view.
All great stuff, except the content is limited to what is freely available online, meaning mostly news channels and only a handful of those broadcasting in English.
