Spring/Summer Always in Season: how an agency site should look

Come rain or shine, this Danish studio puts the client first with a portfolio that prioritises the project

Training our creative sights across Europe to Copenhagen, we have another designer showcase site from the team at Spring/Summer. Exhibiting all the hallmarks of Scandinavian style, this is another portfolio that places most emphasis on project presentation.

Visitors land dead center within a one-level navigation structure, on a preloading page describing agency services and a stellar client list. Spring/Summer, who recently partnered with London’s UNIT9, have worked with the likes of Swatch, Adidas, Victoria’s Secret and Nike to name just a few. Each is fully represented here with dedicated sister pages offering contrasting colours and styles, as well as some beautiful transitions. Developed in association with interactive designer the site bubbles with CSS3 effects and animated rollovers, whilst retaining a rich experience across devices.

“We wanted to make a site with a strong visual impact and some identity cues that would still change the look completely from case to case,” reveals Pelle Martin, Spring/Summer founder and creative director. “We decided to have all pages on the same level and in that way place our own page on level with our clients. The site is optimised for the three major platforms with tablet and desktop sharing content while mobile and tablet share navigation. It’s a solution we feel works well for us.”
