Samsung secures backing for rival Tizen OS

Tizen OS has broadened its support in a deal with 36 influential companies.

Samsung and Intel’s rival operating system, Tizen, is slowly gaining more support with 36 more companies getting on-board with the new OS. The new deal sees the likes of eBay, Konami and McAfee add their support to the Linux-based OS.

Each new partner will now have the chance to add input and insight into the development of ┬áTizen. With the new OS gathering pace at an alarming rate, could Tizen be a threat to Android’s dominance?
