Samsung Galaxy Zoom: 10x optical zoom, 16-megapixel sensor but with full phone capabilities

Following on from the success of the Galaxy Camera, Samsung has announced their latest phone and camera blend, the Samsung Galaxy Zoom.

There seems to be no end to the stream of Samsung devices that are flooding the market, but the latest is something a bit different. Following on from the release of the Samsung Galaxy Camera, the Galaxy Zoom looks to bring together the best camera features, mixed in with a splash of solid phone features as well.

From a phone point of view, the Galaxy Zoom contains a 4.3-inch qHD AMOLED display, 8GB of internal storage, 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM. For the added bulk of the camera, there’s also a 2330mAh which should keep you going for some time.

On the camera side of things, the Galaxy Zoom contains 16-megapixel sensor with 10x optical zoom, 4FPS burst mode, ISO support of up to 3200 and optical image stabilisation.

There’s no news on a release date or pricing as of yet, but we’ll you know when we know more.
