The heavily rumoured Samsung Galaxy Alpha is finally among us and with it, it brings a new metal design path for Samsung. Although not strictly without the plastic shell still, the Galaxy Alpha does now include metal sides and certainly adds to the new premium feel that Samsung want to embed in their future devices. Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Alpha will be available at the beginning of September, which should tie in nicely with the launch of the Galaxy Note 4.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha specs

  • Weight: 117g
  • Display: 4.7″ HD Super AMOLED (1280 x 720)
  • Processor: Octa-core (quad 1.8GHz and quad 1.3GHz)
  • Memory: 32GB, no microSD
  • RAM: 2GB

Although there’s no concrete pricing information from Samsung yet, several retailers have already confirmed they will be stocking the device. Online retailer, Clove, currently has a listing for the Galaxy Alpha to be available for £499. Due to the new premium look of the device, we expect this to be fairly accurate.
