Review: Just Mobile Xtand

When you have a phone as gorgeous as the iPhone 4, it’s natural to want to have it on your desk at all time to admire its beauty. With this in mind, Just Mobile has updated its support for Apple’s tiny gadget, allowing you to stand your smartphone next to your Mac, safe in the knowledge that it looks as cool as can be.
The stand is made from aluminium and does an excellent job of mimicking Apple’s iMac ‘foot’ that has become a key to its design. A rubber grip underneath ensures the stand won’t slip around and the iPhone 4 fits snugly and safely into the X-shaped

holster. This holder attaches to the foot using a screw-on grip which can be tightened to hold the phone still, or left very slightly loose, allowing you to rotate the iPhone into portrait or landscape mode with ease.
The whole thing is sturdy and feels high- quality and the hole in the back of the stand means cables will always be tidy, just like with an iMac. We were disappointed that iPhones with cases wouldn’t fit into the stand and that the 30-pin Apple charger didn’t fit through the hole (we had to feed through the USB end), but this is the best iPhone stand we’ve seen for a long time.
