The Red Hat 5 series of Red Hat Enterprise Linux distros has been going stable for six years now, however due to the nature of the distro it’s still going strong. Next up is 5.10, with development entering the beta phase for people that wish to test it.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.10 Beta’s biggest new feature is Red Hat Access, part of the Support Services package, that allows users to easily engage with Red Hat directly through the distro. As well as this support tool, there’s also access to MySQL 5.5, enhanced subscription management tools and all round security enhancements.
The Beta is available to all users with an RHEL subscription via the download portal.
