While the Raspberry Pi launch has been covered a great deal in the mainstream media, actually getting your hands on one of the fantastic SoCs has been somewhat difficult. While things have been getting easier, business, schools, and universities looking to get in on the Pi have not been able to buy it in bulk.
This morning though, both RS Components and element14 removed the one per customer limit, allowing these big buys. Apparently, 4000 Raspberry Pi’s are being manufactured on daily basis, the increased production aimed to alleviate the supply problem the Pi has had since launch.
You can also now buy a Raspberry Pi directly from the RS and e14 websites without signing up for a waiting list – however delivery may still take a little while.
