One of the best thing about the majority of Android devices is the ability to customise them, with things like custom launchers. You can add various things to your home screens even when you’ve a custom launcher loaded on to it, and widgets are by far the most fun and creative thing you can add. Follow this tutorial to learn how to quickly add widgets to your home screen.

Perform a long press
Perform a long press on any part of your home screen that is empty. On the ‘Add to screen’ menu that appears select the Widget option.

Choose a widget
You’ll now be shown a menu with all the widgets you can choose to add to your screen. You may also discover that some of your downloaded apps have widgets you can use.

Place the widget
After selecting the widget you can choose where you want to place it on your home screen. To move from screen to screen, simply scroll through them. If you want to move or remove the widget after its been placed, long press on it once again.
