Orange announces Tahiti tablet

Orange have announced the details of their first ever tablet. Read on to find out more.

After a strong showing in the mobile phone market, phone connoisseurs Orange have taken the steps to release their very own branded tablet, based on the Huawei MediaPad. Named Tahiti, the tablet will be the first Orange branded tablet for sale, and is readily available now.

Coming in at just 390 grams, the tablet is certainly light, and its 7″ multi-touch LCD screen will be working alongside a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor.

Tahiti is available in either black or silver, features a 5-megapixel camera, AGPS, WiFi, 3G as well as Bluetooth. The tablet will also include full access to the Android Market and be running the Honeycomb OS update, no word on whether the tablet will be seeing a slice of the Ice Cream Sandwich as of yet.

For those looking to get their hands on Tahiti as soon as possible, the tablet can be yours for £69.99 on a 24 month contract.
