Release Candidate for openSUSE 12.2 has just been released, taking one step closer to a stable release after the recent shake up

Things are coming along at openSUSE, with the release candidate for 12.2 just been released. The RC brings with it a load of updates over the second Beta, such as the final version of GRUB 2, 2.0, systemd fixes, updates to the package manager zipper, ALSA, Xorg, etc.

Posting on the openSUSE blog Will Stephenson detailed the plan going forward: “The month of August will see intensive bugfixing, so get testing and reporting. A final release is planned for mid-September and RC2 will be available on the 2nd of August.”

You can grab the RC from the openSUSE developer download page.
