It’s been about a year since the openSUSE ARM team was formed, and they’ve been hard at work creating an ARM compatible version of the distro. Today they’re finally releasing the stable version of their first effort, openSUSE 12.2 for ARM.
The distro contains all the standard openSUSE packages, which is numbered at over 5000, and has been to confirmed to run without issue on the following platfotms:
BeagleBoard (xM)
Panda Board
Versatile Express (QEMU)
Chroot/DYI environment
You can also run it on some other devices, although the team admit it won’t be the best experience:
Calxeda Highbank
i.MX53 Loco
CuBox
Origen Board
Efika MX
