No more delays – Fedora 18 good to go for January 15th

Fedora 18 is to get no further delays, with a last minute bug fix to one of their release candidates

Last week we reported that yet again Fedora 18 had been delayed at the Go/No-Go meeting on Wednesday 2nd January, with some major bugs still present that the team were not willing to release with. Another week has passed, and at the same weekly meeting, it has been decided that Fedora 18 will finally see the light of day next week.

The only problem facing the devs at the meeting yesterday was which version to use, with their RC3 currently being favoured unless they can fix a late bug in RC4. A second meeting was planned for today, and in it they announced that RC4 had been chosen as the final release.

Fedora 18 Spherical Cow will be release on January 15th, and you’ll be able to download it from the Fedora download page.
