Next Google Nexus phone with Android 4.2 OS rumoured for October launch

The follow-up to the Galaxy Nexus could be here by the end of October alongside the Android 4.2 OS update.

Rumours suggest that the next Google Nexus phone could be launching as soon as October, according to Android and Me. The mysterious new device will not include the OS everyone expected however, and instead will run an incremental update of Jelly Bean named Android 4.2.

Android 4.2 has already been logged by some web servers, meaning that the new update is currently being tested, but any device linked to it is still unknown. Android and Me go on to say that while most of the changes to Android 4.2 are small, they’ll enhance the usability of devices.

We’ll update as soon as we know more.
