New Mac Mini? iPhone Nano?

Unusually, the rumour mill for San Francisco has been incredibly quiet. There have been no wild stipulations, no muffled camera-phone shots of dubious new products and no ‘reliable sources’ offering up crazy ideas.

The only tidbits we’ve see n so far are:

A rumoured update to the Mac Mini.

Its long overdue and unlikely to make people go crazy. Unless, they make it stupidly cheap. But Apple never do that.

A rumoured new iPhone nano

But, as Mac Rumors correctly points out, Apple are unlikely to do this as a schange in screen size and resolution would result in the the app store being ubable to cater for it. Why would Apple create a new device and not allow it into the biggest money making exploit Apple has ever dreamed up?

So what does it all mean? Is it that Apple are being extremely guarded this year, are the rumour mongers looking forward to Christmas too much to care or is it just too early to start getting excited. Who knows?
