The GPIO port lining the side of the Raspberry Pi is an interesting addition to the system, allowing for more technical applications to connect to the board and outside world through more than just the standard I/O ports. Figuring out how to use them is the tricky part though, with generally unlabelled pins and the requirement of jumper cables to plug into them.
The RasPiO aims to remove these limitations by fitting snugly on top of the GPIO port, labelling each pin and offering female connectors so you can plug wires directly into the correct pin. It comes in three versions: one that simply labels the pins, one that offers the male-to-female conversion as well and a third version which has a protection circuit each pin.
