MPme app hands-on: A new challenge to the TuneIn crown?

MPme is a new app that looks to bring the power of the radio to your device. We've gone hands-on with the exclusive beta to see just how good it is.

Apart from TuneIn, there are only a handful of radio apps that can be highly recommended to download on the Google Play store. Although it’s currently undergoing beta testing, the MPme app looks set to challenge TuneIn to become king of the radio apps.

MPme’s focus is based around recommendations, with your radio library being heavily influenced by the music stored on your phone and through your Facebook account. Once the app has gathered all the information it needs, it quickly produces a list of radio stations from around the world that would be of interest to you. The recommendations are pretty spot on for the most part and the variety of radio stations it offered up is impressive. You’ll also find a ‘Favourite’ feature, which enables users to make a virtual record of the songs, artists or stations they really enjoy. Above all else, what makes TuneIn a pleasure to use is with just how easy it’s to set-up and thankfully MPme is following suit in nearly every way possible

Despite MPme only being in its beta phase, from the time we’ve spent to it, it’s hard not to be impressed.
