MongoDB servers now available from Rackspace

Get MonoDB Database-as-a-Service from Rackspace with their new ObjectRocket product

Open cloud company Rackspace hosting has been delivering fantastic online services and cloud solutions for a while now, and they’re now offering a brand new product that might tickle your local sysadmins fancy.

They’ve now released a NoSQL MongoDB Database-as-a-service (DBaaS) in its UK date centre as part of ObjectRocket. Apparently, these offerings are run on hardware optimized for MongoDB, and is great for Big Data applications.

“ObjectRocket is a sharded and fully managed MongoDB service built with a set of tools and APIs designed to maximise uptime and reduce administration time – all supported by Rackspace’s Fanatical Support. It is highly scalable allowing it to grow with customers’ business needs. In addition, data is multiplexed across many physically separate systems – minimising the possibility of downtime in any eventuality.”
