Microsoft looking to release Android-compatible smartwatch

Will Microsoft's smartwatch be compatible with the Android OS?

It seems every major tech company is contemplating the idea of releasing a smartwatch, with Microsoft the latest of the bunch to look like they are set to announce their own. Although no-one would be surprised to see them announce a Windows OS smartwatch, early reports indicate that Microsoft’s new watch will be compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

According to a report by Forbes, the new smartwatch will include an array of fitness tools and follow the same design path as the Samsung Galaxy Gear with a touch screen display.
