Of all the announcements we expected from WWDC, a super-sleek new Mac Pro wasn’t quite at the top of the list, but that’s exactly what we got from Apple in San Francisco. The round design is a massive departure from previous Apple designs of any of its desktops, but the devotion to high-grade technology in the Pro hasn’t changed.
The new Mac Pro runs on the Intel Xeon processor and is 2.5x faster than the last model. It can run up to three 4K displays and is only 1/8 the volume of the last Mac Pro, which is pretty incredible.
A nice touch is motion sensing that lights up the I/O on the back of the unit for plugging in Thunderbolt 2 devices and more. It’s a stunning looking machine, but no release date has been announced as yet.
