LinuxCon Europe 2012 started today, and the five day conference began with Mark Shuttleworth giving a keynote speech on how he sees the future of computing. He focused on the idea of collaboration between people, and how this is linked to the cloud. In his speech, Shuttleworth lays out the goals for this:
“To build on the momentum we already have, we must be thinking about the user experience in everything we do in Linux. With cloud computing and mobile technology driving the industry forward, the open source community must not only understand what the future looks like, but must also work together across disciplines and technologies to accelerate Linux adoption, making it readily available to anyone, anywhere, and on any platform.”
Shuttleworth went on to talk about getting Ubuntu onto every cloud. You can read a full report on his keynote from The Linux Foundation.
