With so many devices sporting plus sized screen, it makes a nice change to see a phone going in the other direction. The LG Optimus L3 will have a 3.2-inch screen, which should make it a lot easier to handle than a lot of the other bigger screened devices. The device is definitely heading towards the budget side of the market, and this couldn’t even be more obvious with the 240×320 resolution on offer here. It’s distinctly disappointing, even for a budget device.
There’s a 3-megapixel on the rear of the device, uninspiring once again, but for a budget device it should get the job done. For all the gaming you’ll want to be doing on your new Android device, you’ll find the L3 packing a 800MHz single-core processor, so don’t expect to be playing Shadowgun anytime soon. LG have also decided to release the L3 with the latest Android OS update, and instead it’ll ship with the aging Gingerbread update. We reckon we’ll see the phone receive an upgrade to Android 4.0 soon enough, however.
From the details we’ve seen the LG Optimus L3 isn’t a high-specced device, but it won’t be breaking the bank either. The LG Optimus L3 is expected for release in the next few weeks.
