Learn how to sync Facebook with your iPhoto library

In this quick tutorial, we'll show you how to use the built-in social networking tools in iPhoto to share your snaps in seconds from your Mac to the world.

Photo gives you everything you need to edit, organise and share your photos with your friends and family.
Tools like Faces, for example, let you tag your friends, and as the app learns what they look like, it will start to make suggestions for whom a person in a photo might be. All of this lends itself perfectly for sharing with Facebook, and iPhoto allows you to link your account to the app so that when it tags your friend’s face, Facebook recognises who you are tagging and adds them to the photo on your timeline.

Once you’ve linked your accounts, sharing photos is quick and easy. All of your Facebook albums will be made available in iPhoto so you can add photos to them, or create new albums using your selected shots. If you’ve renamed your shots or added captions these will be automatically added to your snaps, and as long as your Address Book contacts have linked Facebook details, their Faces tags will be transferred as well. You can even view comments that people make in iPhoto, too.
