Choosing the right theme, font and colours for your opening title sequence can really help to set the tone of your movie – just look to the big screen for inspiration. For example, you won’t often see the opening credits of a horror film designed using a beautiful script font in a muted cream or pink, or a romantic love story using a distressed-looking typeface with a combination of black and blood red. In this instance, we’re going to create a title sequence to accompany a movie of an elegant birthday tea party. In keeping with the theme of the movie, we want to use a sequence that has a vintage feel to it. Although iMovie has some great themes, none are really suitable for this project, so we’re turning to Keynote for some inspiration. Just a few simple steps will make all the difference to your iMovie project.
