According to an email sent to artists and labels by iTunes music distributor Feiyr.com, iTunes 11 will launch ‘in the next few days’. The email, sent to a user on the MacRumors forums, asks artists to submit pictures of themselves for galleries that will feature in the latest version of Apple’s flagship media player and store.

The email asks artists and labels to submit images of 1,200 pixels or more in width or height to be included in iTunes 11’s new artist galleries, stating that the service is set to be, “released within the next few days.” The email itself looks to be legitimate, with Feiyr.com’s own website offering to put your music on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and more.

Announced back in September (and then delayed by Apple until November), iTunes 11 will see a complete overhaul of the OS X media player and its accompanying store, with a re-designed interface, deeper iCloud integration and a new song queuing system known as Up Next.
