Some case makers, as we’ve seen on a lot of the Mac blogs, have already released details of the cases for the new phone and my question to everyone was: Are these legitimate claims?
The resounding answer was yes. Probably.
The thinking behind it is that the information presented to these companies would have to be reliable enough and convincing enough for companies to inject capital into a new case form factor. And, it would seem that the companies who have put the new designs up on line are very keen to get a head start in the crowded iPhone case market.
What I was unable to get from the people I spoke to was a time-frame on when the new device would launch but they again said that the evidence would suggest that its not that far off. Orders would have had to placed in the far east by Apple and it would be that information being passed around in order to convince case makers to get cracking on the new designs.
So, not long to wait then. Very exciting. We were all upset that there was no big launch at the show but it it does mean Apple could sping one on us at any time!
