iPad mini sold out of launch stock

The iPad mini's shipping estimates have already slipped to two weeks, rather than November 2nd - the device's official launch date

If you want an iPad mini this Friday, you are going to have to make your way down to your local Apple Store

The iPad mini has proved incredibly popular in its first weekend on sale, with early pre-orders of the device sold out already. The mini pre-orders started at midnight on Friday, and within a few hours only black models remained for the original stock. The mini launches on Friday 2nd November, but those that haven’t placed a pre-order already will be disappointed, as the waiting time currently stands at two weeks in Apple’s online Store.

Ship dates for the black models in the UK store started slipping back on Friday, and by the end of the day only 32 GB and 64 GB models remained for launch day delivery. Those wanting to get their hands on Apple’s tiny tablet right away still have a chance to pick one up on launch day, however, with retail stores opening from 8am to sell their stock.
