iPad Case review: LaCie Coat

LaCie is more famed for its hard drives than its accessories, but that doesn’t mean we should immediately discount the company as a decent source for an iPad case. The Coat is a generic case for laptops, although we think this size was added especially for the iPad. It’s a basic slip case made from the ever popular neoprene, which gives the case a rubbery, stretchy feel. In fact, for extra protection, LaCie has used a double layer of the material.

This gives the case a very bouncy, soft feel and makes the iPad very protected when it’s slipped snugly inside. There are no other bells and whistles with this case – it does nothing other than protect the tablet while it’s in transit. For the price it needn’t do anything else, and for those looking for great value for money it’s a serious contender. Another highly recommended accessory.
