With Jony Ive now at the helm of Apple’s Human Interface team, there’s been plenty of speculation as to how it will affect the look and feel of iOS 7. Designer Frederico Bianco has weighed in with his ideas in the form of a Flickr set of screenshots and a brilliantly produced YouTube video.
The video plays out as a wishlist of features, but a lot of them seem on par with what we could expect to see when iOS 7 is announced (hopefully) later this year. Easy–access settings toggles, quick message replies and home screen widgets are all ideas we’ve seen banded about before, but this particular video seems to do a good job of mocking them up in a way that’s entirely realistic.
Particular highlights include the downloads and ‘Shelf’ feature, which offer perhaps the most iOS–like way of handling file downloads yet. The only thing it doesn’t tackle is the rumoured flat UI that Jony Ive is reported to be implementing.
