iLife Tutorial: Edit images within iWeb

When you’re creating a project that relies heavily on visual elements you naturally want things to look their best. There’s nothing worse than having a picture on a page that you are not happy with. But, rather than going back into iPhoto to change it and then reload it onto the page you can actually make the adjustments you need from within iWeb. It’s a very simple procedure and uses the Adjust button at the bottom of the interface. It will bring up a floating menu that you can position anywhere and make changes to the images that are in your project. The effects added will only apply to the pictures in the project, they won’t filter back to the original which means they remain intact. This clever function can save you a lot of time and ensure that all the pictures in your project have the perfect qualities for the type of site you are building.

1: Button it
Select the picture you wish to alter by clicking on it, then click on the Adjust button on the bottom bar of the iWeb interface. You can also access this function through the top menu.

2: Slide it
Use the sliders to make adjustments to your pictures. If at any time you want to reset what you have done then just hit the Reset Image button on the bottom of the floating window.
