While the Fling controller and Sphero Robotic Ball were both cool things to play with, this is certainly the most useful and most incredible productivity device that I’ve seen at CES. Mobee‘s Magic Charger uses a technology I don’t claim to understand to do something truly brilliant – charge the batteries of the Magic Mouse by simply putting it on a small stand.
It’s easy to set up and once you’ve started the battery should last, according to Mobee, for nearly a week without needing to be recharged. While that’s impressive, I think it’s likely that I’ll be placing my mouse on the charger every time I step away from my computer.
What’s great about the Magic Charger is that I currently run through incredible numbers of batteries in my mouse and keyboard, so this should make a huge saving in the long run, while simultaneously helping the environment.
I’ve put Mobee’s promo video below which shows just how easy the charger is to use. They are available now for $50 from Mobee’s store.
