Huawei, one of the names to watch in the mobile industry over the next couple of years, has officially launched the MediaPad, a 7″ Android tablet running Honeycomb. It is the Chinese manufacturer’s first Android tablet for the UK market.
The device, which will have a low-mid range price point, is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor, has an IPS display for excellent viewing angles, as well as 5MP rear and 1.3MP front cameras. There will be Wi-Fi and HSDPA versions of the tablet.
The Wi-Fi version of the MediaPad will be priced at £275, and will be available in the UK early in the new year.
