Following the Android L announcement at Google I/O last night, HTC have confirmed the OS update will be coming to their flagship phones.
HTC have confirmed that Android L will be available as an update on their current-generation premium handset HTC One M8 phone (pictured) and last-generation HTC One M7. The new operating system will be available on these phones within 3 months of its official release.
“HTC is excited about the new features in Android L and we can’t wait to share them with our customers,” said the company’s official statement. “We are committed to updating our flagship HTC One family as fast as possible. We will begin rolling out updates to the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) in regions worldwide within 90 days of receiving final software from Google, followed shortly thereafter by other One family members and select devices.”
The new operating system for Android codenamed ‘L’ was previewed in the keynote address at Google’s developer conference last night, however the full rollout of the final software will not be available until this autumn.
