HTC announce two new smartphones in their expanding Desire range.

Building off the previous success of the Desire range, HTC has announced a new entry-level and mid-range device which share the Desire name.

The HTC Desire 601 is a mid-range device, offering users a 4.5″ qHD screen, alongside a dual-core Snapdragon processor. It includes the latest version of HTC Sense out of the box and will also be the first Desire phone to run LTE. Although a specific date hasn’t been confirmed, expect the Desire 601 to launch this month in Europe.

Next is the Desire 300, an entry-level smartphone that’s targeting new users to the HTC brand. The 300 packs a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3″ WVGA display and 512MB of RAM. Similarly to the the 601, there’s no specific release date, but expect to see the Desire 300 hit the UK in October.
