How to perform a factory reset on your Android phone

There can be a whole host of reasons why you might want to perform a factory reset on your device. Perhaps you’ve just bought a second-hand device, or maybe you want to start building a collection of apps from scratch. Whaterver the reason, follow this tutorial as we show you how to perform a factory reset on your Android 4.0 phone.

   Navigate through your settings

   Open up the settings on your Android phone and scroll down to the Backup & Reset menu before opening it.

   Factory reset

   This page will list all the settings which can be changed and modified to help you backup your device. In this instance, open up the Factory Data Reset button to continue.

   Are you sure?

   Make sure to read the instructions that now appear on your screen. If you still want to perform a factory reset on your Android phone, press the Reset Phone option at the bottom of the screen.
