Shortcuts are a great way to quickly get to the apps and settings on your phone. On the new Android 4.0 update, the overall process hasn’t really changed, but the variety of shortcuts has increased dramatically. The process is generally easy to do and all you need to do is follow our three step tutorial. Read on to find out more.

Long press
Open the Applications menu and find the app that you want to create a shortcut for. Long press on the app until your phone vibrates.

Select your location
Once your phone has vibrated you’ll now be able to scroll through your home screens and place the app shortcut where you want to. Remember to keep your finger held down on the icon while doing this.

Just in case..
After placing your shortcut, you may decide you want to move it to a new location. Long press on the shortcut to get control of the icon and move it to where you want.
