The hotly anticipated release of Google Wallet seems to have been confirmed through a memo (originally published here), and that it will be officially launched at the NFC World Conference later this week.
Although trials of Google Wallet have been happening, the actual release has generally been kept under wraps.
For those unfamiliar with the concept, Google Wallet aims to store all your credit cards and other payment material available through your mobile device. On top of that, it will include the capacity to store vouchers, receipts and even boarding passes.
With Google’s next flagship phone confirmed for release next month, the Nexus Prime, it would be a good move to have this feature readily available for then. The only other confirmed phone that this will be compatible with at launch is the Nexus S 4G.
