Google I/O 2014: Screenshot of new OS update leaked

Possible new OS update displayed in screenshot.

We must praise Google for keeping a fairly tight lid on any potential leaks ahead of their annual Google I/O event tomorrow, but that hasn’t stopped Reddit user Doopl from coming across two potential screens from the upcoming OS update.

The redesign displays a new-look login screen that has been redesigned to follow the Chrome look closely. You’ll also notice the small ‘L’ icon in the top left of the screen, with early indications believing this is an icon where users can mute and partially block certain notifications.

We’re 50/50 on whether we’ll see a new update announced tomorrow, or instead expect it to be announced and released near the end of the year alongside one of the final Nexus devices. You’ll find our live blog on this website covering the live keynote tomorrow.
