The GNOME project have put out GNOME 3.4, the latest release in the GNOME 3 line. The DE builds upon 3.0 and 3.2, bringing with it a big list of updates, as well as upgrades to some core GNOME applications. These have been given a visual overhaul as well as other updates to bring them more in line with GNOME 3’s look.
Additions to this release include a document search function, filtering document results separately, with local and online files included using the GNOME Documents application. Applications menus are a new feature where context sensitive menus will appear when you right click on the top bar for the application. These new features are followed by a series of updates and optimisations for better hardware support, better video calling support, and animated backgrounds.
