FaceTime has come out of beta and is now available on the Mac App Store, just minutes before the next generation of MacBook Pros are expected to be unleashed on the Apple Store.
The App Store gives a list of features that are similar to those of the beta, except this image suggests we may see HD cameras some next generation software (perhaps MacBooks?), and that they will be renamed FaceTime HD cameras. The wording is very specific – it says you can receive HD video calls on a Intel-based Mac rather than making them. Still, its interesting.
UPDATE: This was confirmed when the new MacBook Pros landed at the Apple Store, with FaceTime HD cameras built in.
