EE brings 4G to a further nine UK towns, announces 45 percent of UK coverage

EE have announced nine more UK towns who will get full 4G coverage.

4G is slowly making its way through the UK and piece by piece EE, currently the sole 4G provider in the UK, is providing more coverage. Today’s announcement from the mobile network outlines the following towns now have full 4G support:

  • Amersham
  • Bolton
  • Chelmsford
  • Hemel Hempstead
  • Southend-on-Sea
  • Stockport
  • Sunderland
  • Sutton Coldfield
  • Wolverhampton

By their estimation, EE have claimed that they now cover 45% of the population, but not too many have adopted to the new speed, as of yet.
