Step 1: Template
Open Numbers and select ‘Education’ from the left- hand panel. From the options, double-click on the option ‘Math Quiz’.
Step 2: Notes
You’ll see two templates side by side and a yellow sticky with some notes which explain how to unlock the spreadsheets and more. Tap the cross to delete.
Step 3: Adding shapes
Ignoring the Addition Quiz Answer Key on the left, we’re going to add some basic shapes to the quiz. Go to the Shape drop-down menu and select a square.
Step 4: Masthead
You’re creating a bold masthead to make the quiz more inviting. Give it a bright colour and hold down the Alt key, then select ‘Send to Back’.
Step 5: Colour fill
Select the grey box that contains the text, open the Graphic Inspector and from the Fill drop-down menu, select None.
Step 6: Changing type
Select the type, open the Fonts panel and select a font that reflects the nature of this project (we’ve chosen Marker Felt for its fun, friendly feel), then give it a colour.
Step 7: Sums
To make any changes to the spreadsheets, select them, go to the Arrange menu at the top of the interface and select ‘Unlock’.
Step 8: Editing
To edit the equations, select the box and type over the existing data. The Answer Key will automatically update itself. Change the colours using the Inspector.
